Campaigns
A Promise Kept

A promise was made and has been kept by the Sisters of Mercy to commit their lives to serving the people and communities of our region. Similarly, a promise was made to the Sisters that at their retirement they could move to the Auburn Motherhouse. Designed and built in 1939, the Auburn Motherhouse Campus structures no longer serve the needs of the Sisters of Mercy nor are they adequate for the future.

Therefore, renovations to the Auburn Motherhouse Campus are planned with three primary goals: safety, accessibility and efficiency of resources. A Promise Kept, Mercy Foundation's Capital Campaign for this renovation, will significantly augment the plan by funding one third of the overall costs.

Alex G. Spanos Heart Center

The new, state-of-the-art Alex G. Spanos Heart Center is being planned for Mercy General Hospital to address the cardiac health of the community, today and tomorrow. As one of the nation's top cardiac programs, Mercy General Hospital performs 65% of the region's cardiac bypass surgeries and 32% of all cardiac catheterizations. A campaign is under way to raise $40 million to make this dream a reality.

Mercy Hospital of Folsom Emergency Department

Mercy Hospital of Folsom is in the planning process for a major emergency department expansion to meet the long-term community demand and provide more rapid access to emergency care. To make this project possible, Mercy Foundation is embarking upon a capital campaign to raise $5 million. The expanded emergency department will significantly increase access to care and reduce wait times to 15 minutes.

Comforts of Home

Mercy recognizes the importance of providing a renewed healing environment for patients and their families, a tranquil setting where they can feel surrounded by "the comforts of home." That's why Mercy Foundation is conducting The Comforts of Home campaign - to raise funds to create an environment in which patients and their families can experience a sense of comfort, wellness and peace.
